The Walking Dead - Eps 2 (Spoiler Alert!)

Last night, I saw the 2nd episode of The Walking Dead and it was pretty awesome. This episode made up for the lack of action in the first episode. We see Rick, our main character, meet some other fellow survivors who happen to be looting a mall in Atlantic City for supplies. They're actually from the basecamp where Rick's wife and son are residing, though he still doesn't know this. The episode deals with the group trying to escape from Atlantic City without getting eaten by zombies.

What's interesting in this group are their dynamics. It is far from ideal, as even in such a crisis, issues of racism and sexism still exist, and continue to pull the group apart. We also witness the true face of a human - if given the opportunity, would you save your enemy from certain death if it meant risking the safety of our own life?

Now the best part of this movie for me began when Rick decided to hack a dead zombie to pieces with an axe. As if it couldn't get worse, he, along with another member of the pack decided to rub the blood and guts of the dead zombie on their clothing! The purpose of this? To smell and look as zombie-like as possible and trick other fellow zombies into believing you are one of them!

I have to rate this episode a 9/10 on entertainment-level, just because not only have I never seen such an act before, but also because I ended up dreaming about zombies trying to eat my brains out that night!
